About: A concrete manufacturing company, Sousa Ready Mix., Inc. was originally founded in 1975. In 2010, Greg Juell and his business partner, Buddy Cox, bought the company, closing escrow in May of 2010. The company name was then changed to Sousa Ready Mix LLC. Currently, the company has 19 employees and operates out of their Mt. Shasta offices and quarry. They recently purchased property on Phillipe Lane in Yreka, and plan to open a satellite ready mix plant there in the Spring of 2017. Though it isn’t required, Sousa Ready Mix employees ACI technicians, and frequently test the concrete on site and keep records of their mixes, ensuring the highest quality product for their customers. Their commitment to quality control allows them to produce concrete for projects that have highly technical specifications. With testing, they are able to ensure that the concrete produced meets project specifications.
